I am opposed to this project for multiple reasons. The developer is not considering the homes directly impacted by its presence.

Be responsible. Do the right thing stop this project.

There is no need for this type of business on land for agriculture

Concerns with water issues, noise, traffic

Water, Water, Water...that's my primary concern. Based on meetings held with BPE, last year, I do not believe we are getting an accurate or complete picture of how this development may unfold and how it could affect the aquifers and our lives in this neighbourhood. Given the progress, to date, of the development, in the absence of proper permits, approvals and general oversight,I am not confident that the city"s administration has the environment and the local citizens basic needs clearly in mind. I am also not confident that they will act to protect local interests when those interests are in conflict with business and development. I believe it is vital that we ensure our voices continue to be heard and listened to.

I drove by this proposal the other day and was really surprised by what appears to be an out of control project. It does not seem to fit the rural community surrounding it at all. The new entrance off Unity Road has definitly changed the rural charactor of the location.

Not against nor am I for development, just want it done in a reasonable way without negative outcome for the area and those already established there

It is not just an Inn & Spa. It is a HOTEL & MOTEL complex. It is to be built horizontal instead of vertical.

In addition to aforementioned details outlined in above letter the City of Kingston geological plan indicates sensitive and unstable area containing limestone, (karst) and possible caves.

I'm just curious, has anyone here actually read the proposal by the developer? The comments would indicate that no one has actually spent the time reading about the project. I guess that's the problem with society today. So quick to judge.

Given that there would appear to be no local support for this project for obvious reasons (environmental, quality of life etc) why is it being allowed to proceed?

No room for this type of development here!

BPE has indicated plans to use a right of way on our property for a service entrance for their proposed resort. This would potentially cause excessive noise, traffic and lighting right on our property. We are opposed to this, and to the entire project. It is unfortunate that they disregard the community closest to them.
