PROTECT OUR WATER AND OUR AGRICULTURAL LAND - WE OPPOSE THE RE-ZONING OF 2285 BATTERSEA ROAD

The purpose of my support is to stop another abuse of the rights of the our fellow citizens by an uninformed, self-serving and weak city council. Courage to ensure we are served well by our elected officials is our collective duty.

Do not set a precedent for future violations of your own building codes Kingston. Soon Agricultural landscapes will include condos. Cease and desist.

This is a terrible example of a developer coming in and assuming he can do anything he wants regardless of the consequences because he is being backed by large sums of money. It would seem to me the the thousands of other tax payers should be listened to first. As a former resident of Unity Road, I understand the importance of the delicate balance of the water table. I also respect the attraction of living in a peaceful rural environment, a goal for all of the residents in the area. Increase in traffic and pollution as well as standing open water across from a school are good reasons to keep this variance denied.

While generally not opposed to new development, this Inn & Spa development does not seem needed in this buccolic rural community and constuction that might require blasting and the developed project's water use/disposal might well stress local purity and availability.

I would like to see the area remain for agricultural use. I'd sooner see people working in the fields than being idle and wasting energy in a hot tub.

Regrettably, another example of city hall running roughshod over the wishes of it's "North of 401" citizens.

This work has defaced the landscape in the area. It is a serious threat to water and septic systems as well. Residents are not in compliance and oppose this proposed zoning change. Work should stop and the area returned to its natural state! Listen to the people and be city led and not developer driven!

This development must be stopped. The city will be in court when all the local wells run dry.

If we let this happen, the consequences will be terrible and long-term; this development MUST be halted.
