Protect our monuments. They give honor to great deeds. They remind us of tradegy and painful times. They remind us of paths taken to move society forward and allow us to reflect so that maybe history will not repeat itself. If they are removed and history is not taught then we will never learn and evolve to be a better lifeform and progress to conquer the hurdles snd obstacles of the future.

I do not desire any statues, monuments or materials be removed that negate any Texas or USA history. Any removals would be a travesty & catastrophic to the education of future generations!

Texas history is too precious to be erased. Texas is more than a State. It's an idea. It is so because of the sacrifices it's founding Fathers made and the manner in which they conducted themselves to create this great State. ANY monuments depicting our founding Fathers should always be allowed to stand tall and proud.

It does NOT serve a purpose to take down a monument such as this! If so why do we not also take down the Washington Monument, Mount Rushmore, and several other national landmarks!
