The COVID-19 crisis has inconvenienced all of us, but revoking basic privacy rights is not the answer! Sign this petition so students can keep their cameras off and protect their privacy.
The school administration continues to ignore our demands while they force students to expose their homes to a digital record. I am drafting a direct challenge to the board right now because your privacy is not up for negotiation.

The administration thought they could quietly strip away our privacy while we were looking the other way. This momentum proves that students are tired of being watched and we are not going to back down until they turn these surveillance mandates off.

Not everyone is fortunate to have a slave where they feel comfortable revealing them self’s and their living conditions. As long as students participate by answering questions and turning in their assignments on time, students should not have to turn on their cameras.

THIS. forcing us to show our rooms feels like a massive invasion of privacy. some people live in crowded apartments and shouldn't have to show that to the whole class.

honestly i just have really bad social anxiety and get super stressed out when 30 people are watching me through a screen. wish they would just let us learn in peace.

I go by a different name than the one assigned in studentvue. I also have severe anxiety about being on camera and I know there are so many people who are being made to have their cameras on despite unhealthy situations which if shown on camera can traumatize other students. This also makes transgender students who havent had a name change be deadnamed which is incredibly damaging
