I'm afraid the only time I see the Police in Putney these days is when Fulham are playing at home.

There is constant mainly low level crime here and we never see the police at all.

The police responcse to burglaries, etc seems to beecoming ever more ineffectul

We used to have such proactive police here. The new set up is not achieving the same levels of community benefit at all.

policing should be local - part of the community. centralising personnel to remote locations suggests that officers attending events will probably be strangers to the local geography, roads, community....

it's not acceptable that resources are being directed away from West Putney to others in the East of London. We are aware that the police are closing files on non violent crime within 24 hrs even when there are evidence lines that could be followed. We used to have our own Commander - now we are one of four boroughs and getting very little attention.
