I lived in the Kenmare area for several years, and plan to move back at some point in time. These lands would be a fantastic amenity for not only the locals, but the tourists that Kenmare relies on for much of it's income.

I think the peninsula would be a wonderful asset to Kenmare both now & for future generations. Kenmare has always been a very special place, well built, great restaurants & bars, great people, great footballers, great musicians, beautiful scenery, top class hotels & ameneties & this would be the icing on the cake for Kenmare. I hope the Peninsula will become the Peoples Park, where they can walk, talk & relax. There are endless possibilities for this wonderful community asset.

This land should be for the public and those putting a claim in should be ashamed of themselves.

The "PUBLIC" are voicing their opinions and supporting their local Community by putting pressure on the Council via the petition to buy the lands asap for the good of the people of Kenmare and surrounds. After all, the end result matters to the "PUBLIC": Proposed "PUBLIC" PARK. Quite frankly, it would be a travesty if the "PUBLIC" were NOT involved in this. We are very proud of our "PUBLIC" here in Kenmare.

The "PUBLIC" are not "interfering" but merely voicing their opinions and supporting their local Community by putting pressure on the Council via the petition to buy the lands asap for the good of the people of Kenmare and surrounds. After all, the end result matters to the "PUBLIC": Proposed "PUBLIC" PARK. Quite frankly, it would be a travesty if the "PUBLIC" were NOT involved in this. We are very proud of our "PUBLIC" here in Kenmare. Thank you for your comment Patrick.

OAKTREE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT, a so-called VULTURE FUND, have owned the PENINSULA LANDS since mid 2016. NAMA sold the lands to OAKTREE over a year ago and now you are fronting a petition to ask the general public to call upon the local council to purchase the lands from a Vulture Fund SUBJECT to “Vacant Possession” – so why are the public being asked to interfere in a commercial transaction between an international Vulture Fund and the local County Council?

Keep this area as a public amenity. It's a one off. Kenmare will never have an opportunity like this again

I am not a resident of Kenmare but have enjoyed and still do enjoy holidays there. The Peninsula is a fabulous natural resource and enhances the natural beauty of Kenmare bay. I support your petition and wish you well in securing the Peninsula for the enjoyment of the community and visitors alike. Harry Burke Stillorgan, Co. Dublin

A great place to live and it would be great for the people of Kenmare to have a place that you know that you could use every day of the year
