Smaller lots, mean smaller homes. We want this area to improve in home value, not decrease.

I do not feel that the proposed subdivision is in the interests of the homeowners in this area!

Developing this property with smaller lots for new homes will decrease the value of the existing homes with bigger lots .

I support growth in Terre Haute, but I do not support approving a project that does not appear to have enough due diligence behind it. Once a subdivision is approved, the impact is permanent. The roads, drainage, traffic patterns, lot layout, lighting, noise, and overall neighborhood feel will affect nearby homeowners for decades. That is why these decisions should be made carefully, not rushed through because housing is needed. Residents deserve clear answers before this moves forward. How will traffic be handled safely? How will stormwater be controlled? What protections will be in place for the homes that already exist? How will this affect privacy, green space, and long-term neighborhood value? Those are reasonable questions, and they should be answered publicly before any approval is granted. This is not about being against new homes. It is about making sure new development is planned responsibly and held to a standard that protects both future residents and the families who already live in the area.

The Terre Vista subdivision was never meant to be something resembling tract-style housing. Neighborhoods within much of the eastside of Terre Haute have always been maintained as family friendly neighborhoods with trees, larger lots and homes that are welcoming. As currently planned, these smaller lot homes will negatively impact the aesthetics of the area.

Terre Haute needs cohesive, total city planning.

I am against development. I’m concerned about noise, water runoff, diminishing wildlife.

Very unhappy to hear about this proposal. We live in Watertree and do not want this kind of congestion, which is also going to be getting worse with a Target coming to this side of town.

Concerned about flooding and water runoff, and wildlife protection.

I agree with this 100%. We moved here from Texas and finding a home was not easy. Terre Vista Glen met all our needs and its a great neighborhood with great neighbors. As people are transferred in and out of Terre Haute, we want our home to retain its resale value. A more crowded neighborhood with very small lots and much smaller homes doesnt help our resale value, much less all the things listed in this petition. I agree there is a place and need for that type of neighborhood but not in our backyard.
