Protect Our Mule Deer

The mule deer already have a difficult time as it is migrating. Now that this amazing migration route has been identified I can’t understand why anyone would choose to create more obstacles in their route.

Wyoming most valuable resource is its wildlife for the enjoyment of hunters, and others. Gas/Oil leasing in critical habitat will negatively impact species. One has to look no further than the gas fields of Wamsutter, the Pinedale anticline and elsewhere. Sage Grouse declines should be a gauge of the likely outcomes of such proposed leasing actions.

No oil or gas leasing in or on migration corridors.

Mule deer are iconic to Wyoming and there is no reason not to do everything possible to protect their migration corridor.

Keep Wyoming wild...don't sell out to the "Show me the money" Wyoming Congressional delegation!

Let's do this right--for a change. There is no pressing need to rush into leasing at this time. There ARE common sense, scientific -based reasons to be sure we have safeguards and legal weight to assure our continued outdoor heritage in Wyoming. We can always make money. We cannot always replace our migration corridors, or the wildlife that depend on them. Let's "do the RIGHT thing" for long-term business interests AND wildlife.

When it's gone it's gone, don't let money end the heritage, you legislators have enough.

It is necessary to maintain uninterrupted migration corridors for mule deer. For one thing, Wyoming generates revenue from visitors, campers and hunters who appreciate our healthy wildlife. Areas like these need protection to maintain our wildlife resources.

Habitat is vital to the survival of our wildlife, and man is pushing species after species to the brink. Let's not have that happen with our already threatened mule deer. There must be a reasonable balance established based on science. Too much is at risk to willy-nilly allow unfettered development.

Leasing inside this migration corridor is a monumental mistake. You cannot protect the corridor by adding lease conditions nor can BLM protect the corridor via stipulations attached to an APD. Surely you know that O and Gas companies always want more -they will cut corners on your lease conditions and APD stips. The end result will be the destruction of this corridor.

When will legislators begin to recognize these migrations as a natural resource for the country not only for Wyoming?

do not drill in migration trail! you can horizontal drill so you don't have to effect the area. Do it! you have enough other areas to work in anyway so give our wildlife a brake!

Protect our ecosystem.

Please postpone oil and gas leasing in critical wildlife migration corridors and winter range! We need to work to protect big game herds for future generations!
