Protect Our Mule Deer

The recent release of the Atlas of Wildlife Migrations in Wyoming should be used as a valid information source in protecting this natural resource of the state. The Mule Deer add value to the lives of all citizens in Wyoming.

Let stop distroing our natural resoures like the Mule deer !!

Wyoming is home to some of the world's great migration corridors. Every effort should be taken to protect these corridors and the animals that rely on them. Please put oil and gas leases in these critical areas on hold until scientific research and legally-enforced stipulations are in place to make sure mule deer and other migrating herds are properly protected.

In nature if you change one thing everything changes in response. Oil and gas belong to an outdated era much like the dinosaurs! We know how to do better, so let’s get busy with clean energy!

This land must be protected

The limits of our knowledge should define the limits of our practice. These lands belong to more than just humans.

Wildlife need intact ecosystems. Please protect the landscape the mule deer rely on.

I have seen a huge decline in Mule Deer in the last 70 years. Please do all you can to protect them

The migration corridors in Wyoming are a national treasure. Do no harm!

Please protect big game migration routes.

As an avid outdoor recreator and wildlife and rangeland ecologist, I urge you to postpone leasing on these critical habitat parcels affecting the migration corridor of the Wyoming mule deer. These areas are critical to the continued survival of these migratory herds, and providing them safe passage to and from their wintering grounds is critical to maintaining the abundant herds that support the hunting economies in Wyoming. Hunting and fishing are a way of life for Wyomingites, and provide a substantial income to communities supporting hunting tourism. Please reconsider the leasing of these parcels to protect this key piece of Wyoming heritage.

Don't drill or allow development in this area.

Wyoming seems to have taken the stance lately that our big game herds don't really matter. Yet the majority of tourists and out of state hunters would rather see our wildlife in tack in their migration corridors and NOT oil and gas drilling rigs which disrupt the wildlife. There is a LARGE abundance of oil and gas and these fields do NOT have to be developed! SAVE OUR WILDLIFE - Leave the wildlife on their land without disruption.

Leasing fossil fuels is trading a single use for the real treasurers of Wyoming - the multiple uses of wildlife, land and water.

Lease notices are not a substitute for true disclosure in a stipulation. Using a lease notice is disingenuous. The parcels should be withdrawn from the lease list and not offered again until the land use plans close these important areas to leasing. Leasing conveys valid, existing rights to develop that are legally enforceable.

Mule deer should not be at risk due to oil and gas activity.

The wildlife need this corridor. We don't need the oil/gas, so we need to curtail these leases.

Save the mule deer

Please don't allow the Mule Deer migration corridors to be blocked by energy development. We need clear, science-based rules and legally-enforceable agreements between the state and federal government to truly protect our deer. Please protect the Mule Deer migration routes. Thank you.

A lot of hunters who are also Trump/Republican voters will be VERY disappointed when the mule deer population crashes due to habitat destruction
