Protect our Island water

Don't be the next Ontario or California. We need our groundwater. Even though we are surrounded by water, we can't drink that water. Don't sell our lifeblood away!

Without clean water we all die. Protect the most sacred part of the earth.

Water is a scarce commodity & should never be exploited like these kind of wells do! And certainly never used to make a profit for a few business people at the very grave expense of Island inhabitants. Shame on those who are even entertaining this thought!!

Cant believe we need to petition something like this. PEI water needs to stay on PEI.

Water bottling cannot pass environmental assessments if a risk/reward relationship is developed for the carbon intensity of this activity. Further, PEI needs and is in the process of developing more comprehensive water policy, and this activity should not be approved before priorities are set within that policy.

This is just greed. Private companies should not be able to use such natural resources for profit.

I am so glad we have you looking out for and protecting our Island. Our ground water needs to be protected from such commercialism.

We need to protect our water source as other countries are finding out the hard way. Even areas with deep wells are noticing the difference in depth of ponds, etc. Water is a most precious commodity not to be squandered.

Born and raised on PEI. Own a cottage there. NO to the commercial developent of the Island's water. It is a finite resource. Look at the Winter River watershed!!

PEI will dry up, save our precious commodity for our next generations to come. It shouldn't be all about money,. Look what's happening in NS.

I believe this would be like opening Pandora's Box. If it only benefits the opportunist it's not for Islanders. Protect our future or foreigners will be selling us our children their own water or worse yet refusing them access.

PEI's ground water is a resource and a right that should be protected for all Islanders to enjoy today and tomorrow. Selling it for profit is shortsighted and we will all pay the price.
