I cannot support the Pure Island Waters water bottling plant in Brookvale on substantive environmental reasons. I also submit that it runs counter to the principles so many Islanders hold and the direction we wish to move towards.. On aesthetic principles alone, the act of putting water into plastic bottles is abhorrent. Past governments have taken important stands on things like removing junked cars and limiting business signage - all in an effort to promote our values. I hope this government will do all in its power to represent those same values in considering their role to enable or inhibit this project.

A horrible idea that is counter-current to both ecological and business trends. The comparison used by the developers in terms of golf course water usage ignores the fact that watering the ground puts water into the ground as opposed to putting it into plastic and shipping it off island. 3 wells = 1 big we'll...

Water is a cornerstone we need to protect for all of life, and is not for discretionary use by corporations.
