We have a sensitive water supply and as such need as little disruption as possible. Do the responsible thing and also remember you are human before you are a legislator and are made of 80% water

If this is really an issue we have to look at all industries across the board on the island - we cannot be selective. The cruise ships took 12,500 cubic meters of island water in 2015 alone. One of our main industries: potatoes (which are 79% water) take over a million cubic meters of water a year. Not to mention the rate of use of an average business, house hold and other industries such as meat, seafood and alcohol production. We should then have a look at all our island brewing companies, where just ONE is exporting 3 million bottles a year (beer is 95% water). And how much of our island water does it take to keep our numerous golf courses green? Not to mention ADL and all the plastic associatedd with that. Where as this water plant will only take 5000 cubic meters a year. To round it off, the recharge rate of island water is 34% percent of the precipitation which is 2 BILLION cubic meters a year and as a province we only use 40 million all together, making our use 2% of what is being replenished. Meaning that this plant is only taking 0.00025% of the recharge rate.

I want my grandchildren & their children to have water, what are you gov't officials trying to do, here is NS in tbl for water & you are going to sell ours, next thing you will have a pipeline of water going to USA.

Good of use as a province to participate in Waste Watch and pesticide legislation so our water can be sold, just can't win.
