Stock dog trials at D-D Mini Ranch is a huge asset to our area here in the east valley. With the excessive building and over population flooding this once beautiful agricultural land, there are not many opportunities to partake in activities that are the original fabric of Arizona! I fully and wholly support the conditional use permit for the reasons stated in the application.

Very nice facility for working dogs which are a vital part of raising livestock.

As our culture becomes more urbanized, the connection to agriculture and food production is lost. These facilities and their events provide much needed education and connection to agriculture and food production.

Facilities like the D and D Ranch are critical to the preservation of ranching, and livestock. Equally important is the ability to train many rancher's best worker - their dog.

I travel from Idaho to D&D Mini Ranch because it is one of the best facilities in the nation. Not only does this facility support the working dogs it supports the community in multiple ways

We have both attended stockdog trials at the D&D Mini Ranch. This is, by far, the best facility that we have visited in the entire United States. The quality of stock, hospitality and educational experience with the livestock is exceptional and very valuable for dogs to learn and improve their skills which are essential in farming and ranching.

Worked or trialed almost every event at the ranch, great people, great area, would highly miss my escape from the Idaho winter's to Arizona sunshine in the winter's.

As more and more Americans are becoming further removed for the farm, our understanding of where our food comes from is diminished. A facility such as D and D Mini Ranch gives the opportunity to experience for adults and children to experience a small portion of farm or ranch life. The mini ranch uses regenerative ag practices and works to conserve rare breeds of livestock. One unique aspect of the ranch are the stock dog trials. Cowboys, with dogs and horses, shaped the American West. Stock used in training and trials are treated fairly and it gives spectators an opportunity to see the value of a good dog and its place in American history.

I spent two weeks at D&D . This was a wonderful event with a large group of community that came together and observed out dogs working stock in a calm and considerate fashion. Having spent my life ranching, these venues are so educational to the public to show good stockmanship. The public does not often have access to a ranch to watch a dog and handler work, where i spent my life with dogs at my side. They are essential to my life! More useful than a hired hand very often. During my time at the Sandersons’ I witnessed many exchanges with community and neighbors and it was a very quiet venue, It would be a shame to eliminate this event as it is a brief period and I only saw wonderful facilities, clean quiet and well manicured. I hope the community will continue to support this event. Sincerely Paula Rekow

To take the opportunity away from competitors who are trying to support the working australian shepherd would be a huge disservice to the breed and ranchers alike.

This facility is stunning and well run. I ventured out into town several times for food and supplies. I would absolutely book a hotel next time I'm there for trial!

As a livestock breeder and dog trainer, I would never have known about your wonderful community without the D&D Mini-Ranch. Like numerous others, we support the Ranch and will continue to bring income to the community through their events.

Working dogs are a huge part of our daily cattle operations. D&D Mini Ranch helps promote that lifestyle.
