Protect Our Heritage: Support Conservancy Livestock & Working Dogs

I fully support this petition. Dan and Diane Sanderson provide a vital effort in preserving a heritage breed, but they also honor agricultural roots of your town and help preserve them with their livestock trials. This couple has the utmost integrity and always benefit the community.

I strongly support the application for D&D Mini Ranch for a Conditional Use Permit to be approved.

Fabulous, emaculate facility owned by dedicated, knowledgeable, and thoughtful owners dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the working breed and proper care of livestock.

I travel from Tularosa, NM to enjoy the Sanderson's hospitality. The property is very well cared for.

So nice to have such a nice facility to be able to work our dogs and to help our journey to earn points for finals, to meet new people and learn more about the area in and around Queen Creek.

Dan and Diane have always produced a wonderful event and also have protected their neighborhood by making sure competitors showed respect and responsibility to maintain a peaceful event. They are one of the best at putting on a first class event. Stock is always very well cared for and timing of the event is made so that there is no disruption to the neighborhood with noise to early or too late.

D&D Mini-Ranch is a premier facility that is well kept and operated for the benefit of dogs and people that work livestock for a living or as a recreational activity to keep their stockdogs in shape. My husband and I have spent four winters working and taking care of livestock at this facility and have personally been witness to the care and attention paid to the welfare of the animals and dogs that spend time at D&D. The Sanderson's have also spent many hours educating neighbors and handlers on the ranching techniques and stockmanship involved in working dogs and taking care of animals. You could not ask for more dedicated or concerned folks to promote animal welfare, land improvement, and the future of the stockdog in being a partner in the ranching history of this country.

Arizona is a beautiful state and one of the few that still value their agricultural heritage. The property owned by Dan and Diane Sanderson is a bright spot in maintaining the agricultural and working Stockdog community.

I know the owners of D&D Mini-Ranch personally for a number of years and can attest to the fact they there are extremely ethical and responsible people, both for the land and their animals. They are dedicated to creating safe and educational experiences for everyone interested in working dogs. I urge you to support them in keeping their rural property and way of life. Thank you.
