I have grown up using this area as a child. It is full of thousands of memories, from sledging in the snow to dog walks to playing games and making dens. Many members of the public love this area and their life’s would not be the same without it. It is a beautiful part of Rawtenstall and should not be lost.

This area is enjoyed by so many people, in these uncertain times we need accessible open space to maintain wellbeing. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.

This has been an area of natural beauty creating beautiful views for the whole valley, it’s a local woodland uescape which has been enjoyed by myself and my family for more than 50 years non moreso than in the last year where this green space has been so very precious to many people

I think we should support all of these changes to green belt. We don't want to lose this lovely land.

This is a valuable area fro local wildlife and should not be built on. It's also a marsh area that holds off water to the river and helps prevent flooding in the villages below!

Absolutely scandalous that this land is going to be developed. The area has been used by locals for dog walking and general outdoor enjoyment more many years. Ugly industrial buildings will be a blot on the Rossendale landscape and will deprive locals of enjoying the outside.

Save this green space for the deer to roam and be admired by the people of Rossendale.

Beautiful area of Rawtenstall which is an easy accessible walk away from the noise and Where you can breathe not just for young families but people all ages to. I’m 56 years old I have walked here all my Iife. I don’t think the powers that be realise how much this area is used and loved. Let’s hope they listen to the majority.

Why develop green land when the units at the adjacent retail area (next to the Firepit) are all empty and could be used instead
