This area is used by many as a recreational open space, it also brings others to rawtenstall as a beautiful gateway from the south.

This land is precious to all who live in Rossendale and enough has already been taken by developers. It is a much loved and beautiful place for families to walk.

This area is full of wildlife, providing important habitat and cannot be lost. Aesthetically it is the entrance to Rawtenstall and part of the charm of the ELR.

The area is used by everyone. Dog walkers , runners. Mountain bikers and walkers .Been walking in this area for the last 20 years It’s a green belt area and should remain as such.

Our beautiful green spaces are the Valleys biggest attraction! Concentrate on empty housing and derelict buildings instead.

Honestly this is not good. So many people use this walk, me also, so much. And all the wildlife that would perish! It’s their home!!

Keep the Green Belt it prevents the urban sprawl which will reducing quality of life in so many areas across Lancashire. This unsustainable form of development swallows up farmland and wildlife habitats while increasing air pollution, flood risk and car dependency Which is wrong .

So many brownfield sites available. This is unnecessary.

Its such a lovely walk down by the river, used by so many. I'm sure there are more suitable areas that can be used rather than spoiling this beautiful area

This is a much used public area and needs to be preserved. Too much of the beautiful Rossendale countryside is being lost.

Leave the green belt alone. Too much damage will be caused to local wildlife.

I am totally opposed to the development of this green belt land. It will have a detrimental effect on the area and will impact the community. Many walkers, cyclists, families would be impacted by the loss of this space along with the wildlife. Rawtenstall is already gridlocked without any further development.
