Why doesn't RBC develop some of the derelict sites in the existing "business belt" I know of three sites at least on Waterfoot which are currently empty and have been for at least 3 years, one site is a disgrace in the centre of Waterfoot, but the local authority would rather build on Greenfield sites

It is very important to have nature and green spaces available to the general public. It is our general health that suffers most if this is taken away from us. Space to pause and breathe for all away from the madding crowds.

I cannot believe that this unique area of Rossendale is being added to the many greenfield areas being torn up and built on.
Rossendale Borough Council clearly do not care about the damage to our beautiful countryside.
The nonsense they talk about mitigation and greenbelt compensation. Our land is finite, once its built on that's it.
This development and the many others must be stopped.

I strongly object to the development of the greeenbelt land it is in complete contradiction of the UK 25 year Environmental Plan. We need this green space for mental health and week being as proven during the COVID pandemic.
