This is further unacceptable vandalism by RBC at New Hall Hey and must be resisted. This is green belt, and has a rare apple orchards, interesting sculpture but above all the bridge and land were secured with grants by Groundwork for PUBLIC access.

When are all these developments going to stop? Loads of houses being built on green fields as well! This is a lovely flat walk for the less energetic residents of the valley.

This is a vital area for wildlife, I often see different species of deer, stoats and weasels, owls, kingfishers, hawks.

This is a beautiful quiet walk that my family and I and many others use to walk from Rawtenstall to Waterfoot where my parents live. We do this walk regularly as I don't drive. I have walked this way from being a young child(as have many others too) with my parents . It would be such a shame to see it go.

This is a beautiful area for local wildlife and fauna. Potentially a flood plain area also...

Urban sprawl and creep such as is proposed for the Townsend Fold area, must not be allowed. It is important to retain open and green areas between towns and villages, not only for recreation but to provide a green lung for the area. Such a development would irreparably damage the desirability and appeal of Rawtenstall to those who may consider moving to/living in Rossendale.

An area of natural beauty enjoyed by many. There’s enough development going on without stealing this greenbelt land from us too!
