Why are there plans to build more industrial space in Rossendale when there are already so many empty units in the area already?

There's plenty of 'Brownfield' sites in the area. Let's get the industry that has closed back on its feet before inviting more. Keep this bit green!

As well as taking away a local amenity, Rossendale is trying to portray itself as an area of natural beauty to attract tourists, this will turn away people.

This is such a popular and well used area for walking, ideal for families and those who are unable to roam on the hilltops. It has been used as an area for recreation for generations.
Rossendale Borough Council should consider the needs and health of the population.

The infrastructure on the M66 cannot cope with the daily commute to Manchester now, never mind if this is built!
