Build on existing brown belt land, there are plenty of places to build. The green belt is supposed to be protected.

With the amount of (empty) buildings in rossendale why are we building more especially on greenbelt?

Totally not necessary. Too many empty units on existing industrial estates already.

This area is the gateway to Rawtenstall for people travelling in on the train. We do not need any further building along this corridor & especially not industrial. Stop ruining our countryside

The woodland trust, and many wildlife organisations are trying to create woodland corridors. Building on this area and others like it is going against and destroying what the many organisations are working towards. A few years ago Alison Barnes said that there would never be any building on this land. What happened? The public don't want it. Keep our open land for nature as it was intended.

There are other parts of the valley that could be used for development without using up areas of natural beauty.

Green belt land should be left alone, use brown belt land first.

They should tax the empty industrial premises as with houses to get people to develop brownfield sites rather than turning to greenfield sites

This is the only part of the river adjacent to Rawtenstall that is not built up.The river path is well used and there is no need to develop it for commercial purposes.

More green land going in Rossendale. No thought to what public think or the harm it cause to the wildlife that live there. Will also cause more traffic on the A56 adding more traffic to the M66.

Leave this land for those that enjoy beauty in it's most natural form and build industry elsewhere.
