I’ve lived in this county for 54 years and I have seen the changes! I enjoyed living in a place with uncrowded roads, few subdivisions, and our farmers working the land of their ancestors. This is an “agricultural area” and I don’t think we need scores of subdivisions permanently changing our forests, privately owned property, schools, and highways. Let them build somewhere else. We’ve had enough already.

We moved to Chumuckla a year ago to start homesteading away from the bustle of Pensacola. We're not thrilled about the beauty that drew us here being replaced with cookie-cutter development projects. Commissioners, please fix this.

Protecting our rural area is important. We know there will always be growth and we need to do it responsibly. Keep our small town feel, keep traffic flowing, keep the majority of our open and/or wooded spaces, and enjoy one another.

I moved from Cantonment, FL because of the overbuilding and over commercialization of the area I was in. I moved to north Pace to try to get away from it and now, through loopholes to undermine the code, the elected officials are coming up with ways to allow this to happen in the country. It never fails, greed causes the politicians to become crooked and take away the way of life that we want by forcing "progress" onto us. My family and I do not want closely packed subdivisions anywhere near where we chose to move to or anywhere that would affect our daily drives. Please delete the Alternative Subdivision provision and keep the country, country.

We are not asking to grow!!!!! Take a poll!!!! There is one way into chumuckla and one way out, an idiot would know it’s gone way to far without addressing in-fracture. Permitting should never even be approved without doing research on how much the roads can hold.

I would ask that County Commissioners and those making decisions, especially elected officials, listen to those you represent. Listen then represent those values. This petition is not the majority of people in the county for only one reason, not everyone will participate, they are working to support their families, pay their taxes, improve their lives. You can be assured if they live in Milton/Pace areas it's not because they want to have the city move to them. They chose this area for what it is country. Clearly driving around our areas there is already no shortage of new neighborhoods being built. Clearly the infrastructures can't support what is already in the works; roads, drainage systems, natural gas, electric grid, water, sewer being the basics. We that live here don't want our taxes paying for new infrastructure/building to support new businesses or homes. If something new is built it must be self sustainable and be neutral for those already living in the same areas at a minimum. But more specifically we don't want our country existence taken from us. Protect our property from over building.

Stop building more housing! We moved to SRC for a reason 15 years ago to be in a rural area. Our infrastructure can’t handle it and it takes double the time to get to Hwy 90 and all of the current neighborhoods going in are not even finished.
