Real , honest-to-goodness organic food is important and when we buy food with the organic label we want and expect the real thing. Don't lie to us, USDA.

Organic is the way to go! The government is in on this deceptive marketing of hydroponics farming. Everything ties into one another. If we farm organic that means less health issues, less diseases, less health conditions. That means less people in hospitals and less buying of drugs to cure you. No but the government doesn't want that. Organic means less money for medical corporations to give people drugs or to see doctors.

I agree, nothing that is not grown in soil can be organic and cannot be considered nutritious without the biologically/organically nurtured soil to infuse the nutrition into the fruit or vegetable as it grows. "Healthy soil, healthy plants, healthy animals, all lead to healthy people. Ecological farms are also carbon sinks.

As a former owner/operator of a NOFA MA Certified Organic Farm in Deerfield, MA (1988-1997), and now a Naturopathic Physician with expertise in Environmental Medicine , whole foods REAL ORGANIC nutrition/microbiome health, and classical homeopathy/epigenetic normalization, I am SO excited to see the REAL ORGANIC PROJECT take off like this. The buck has to stop somewhere, and you are so right that there is a time to be silent, and a time to speak out, and this IS the time to speak out and take action immediately. In the last 22 years since I returned to school to get a medical degree specifically to continue my study of environmental medicine and ORGANIC whole foods nutrition, there has been an unprecidented increase in chronic diseases in all ages and all organ systems...something is really wrong!!! Chemical and radiation exposures, along with inadequate nutrition (supplements are NOT a substitute for REAL ORGANIC food!!) is causing a severe surge in immunosuppression allowing microorganisms, esp. viruses, to take a strong "foothold" in a rather large proportion of the world's population, causing all of these thousands of named chronic diseases, like cancer, alzheimer, strokes, micraines, lyme, etc, etc. The peer reviewed medical literature international in scope, at the National Library of Medicine, is very clear about what is actually happening to people's health...and fhe type of food that people are eating, is playing a very large part in this equation...NOT genetics, except for the wild card of epigenetics. I am SO excited to be a part of this new movement to protect our food supply, and will help in any way possible...this is why I went to medical school...to get an expertise in medicine, to go along with my being a research/field botanist, and research biologist. I will be coming up to NH (Sunapee) for the winter from Cape Cod, and hope to be able to meet with all of you at some meeting, like you had at Dartmouth last March. Thanks for all of your h

WE do NOT work for the USDA, The USDA works for US!!! Sounds like someone is benefiting hugely and it is NOT the consumer. Our children and future generations deserve real food grown real (in soil) We need to unseat whoever is driving this issue. grow it if you must but label it in TRUTH then the consumer can make choices accurately!
