It is a travesty that the organic standards are being watered down. This is not acceptable to those farmers who have an ethical standard and understand the inter relationships of all aspects of the land that is in their care. The organic industry seems to be like most industries that are gaining great profits from the lessening of high standards..Where are the high standards today or have you sold out to big industry's greed for profits, more profits, more production that lessens the quality and care the natural world deserves....Do what is morally right, uphold higher standards and do not diminish the importance of regenerative soil practices in the growing process...We are all accountable for our deeds in this world...you included.....

A proposed rule does nothing. We had a proposed rule in 2015. There was a lot of support for it.
Organic dairy farmers are really challenged by not having this rule and by people basically breaking what should be a rule. There should be a final rule this year, not a proposed rule, and I do not understand why you’re suggesting a proposed rule.

I want my organic produce to be grown in soil unless it is seaweed! At an absolute minimum I want it to be labeled as hydroponic, so as a consumer I can decide. I want toeganic to mean what it was intended as not the bastsrdizatuon that it has become under the the USDA. Real origin of country, real dirt and sunlight for ALL chickens, real pasture not just a jesture to it. I want family farms to be supported, not just large corporations. I am disgusted with what has been allowed to slip under the organic name.
