Please protect organic integrity. As an organic farmer and consumer it is essential for my bottom line and the health of myself and the planet.

Purge the NOSB of revisionists. Organic is more than a word, it stands for healthy soil and uncontaminated food.

please don't compromise the organic standards by allowing hydroponic. at the very least, if you cannot be true to the "organic" nomenclature, then require the produce to be labeled "hydroponic". calling it all organic isn't fair to the farmers that are legitimate organic farmers, or to the customer who wants to buy truly organic food.

NOP Certification is not honest.

Please protect our food chain, and the organic seal. It would be great if we could support our farmers and not big Agra that cares nothing about our health and our children's health just the bottom line.

Putting the desires of corporation profit makers over the quality and safety of our food ruins the USDA organic label. Our trust is eroding fast! We will stand up against this dilution of the rules for organic growing.

When I see the organic label, I want to know without question that the food is organic, not maybe, sorta, almost, sometimes. I want the USDA to uphold grassroots and true organic farming, not a melting pot version for the large corporations that don't care if their product is organic or not.

Soil is the basis of organic!! Take care of the soil and "it" will take care of the plants.

Consumers have a right to know the difference between food grown naturally in soil or grown hydroponically. Period. C'mon USDA!

Hydroponic growing is clearly a violation of OFPA as is the allowance for herbicide/pesticide prior to hydroponic production if applied with less than three years of time!!

It appears some taint, perhaps money, has influenced those in “authority” at the N0P. There is a greater influencer. The consumer. When the consumer discovers that they have been hoodwinked there will be a call for action. Remember Alar.

All hydroponically-grown produce must be labeled so, especially those labeled ORGANIC.

I want to buy food grown in soil and am appalled by the way our USDA is undermining the Organic Food Production Act. Unsuspecting consumers unwittingly trust the USDA which has now come under the influence of big corporations seeking only profit at the expense of health. Hydroponic is not organic plain and simple.

Soil gives food; let soils be the foundation of our food system.
