Real organic food is grown in soil. If we, as citizens, have to follow the laws of the land, why shouldn't the USDA. The USDA is not above the law.

I like the idea of hydroponics, but keep the glyphosate. By admitting it is being used, all hydroponic produce is suspect and I won't buy it.

Hydroponic growing is food grown in plastic, it’s not organic, it’s not natural, and nothing about it is regenerative nor green. There is a place for it in agricultural, but it is definitely not under USDA Organic.

In order to be organic you need soil. Hydroponic does not use soil. It should be classified separately on not be considered organic because it is not.

Hydroponic growers should be required to label their products as such. I want to know how my food was grown and where. I don't think that is too much to ask

Organic needs to mean just that. We cannot ensure that every law harms our farmers, and we cannot continue to sponsor factory farms with their animal cruelty and non-organic plants labeled organic.

Real food has to be grown in soil. It's the soil that truly makes the fruits and vegetables nutritious with improved taste. Hydroponic tomatoes, for example, look good but have absolutely no taste.

Soil is soil and there's no two ways about it. Hydroponics don't come under this classification, so it's not organic in any way, shape or form.
Keep Soil Organic and quit feeding the large corporations deep pockets.

The USDA must follow the law as it is written in the Organic Food Production Act. Therefore, the USDA must stop certifying as organic all hydroponically-grown fruits and vegetables. The USDA's actions are damaging trust in the organic seal by allowing such produce to be called organic.

Hydroponics are NOT organic as they have no relationship to the living organism SOIL! Please prohibit their acceptance as organic.
