Protect organic farming......it is the only REAL, TRUE CLEAN way to eat. Why do we have to pay to eat clean food? It's evil that they spray pesticides and now hydroponic food growing, they need to get serious and really educating about human food consumption!!!!

Organic food should be just that - organically grown in uncontaminated soil without the use of pesticides! It's not exactly rocket science, is it?

Hydroponics do NOT contain micronutrients organic soil has. This is in no way organic.

The most exciting scientific breakthroughs in the past decade have to do with soil ecology, with applications for farmings learning to work with the soil microbed and macrobes to improve their soil health and thus the health of their crops, and thus the health of their customers...AND sequester carbon in the process. Hydroponics should not be banned but it absolutely should not be labeled organic.

Classifying hydroponic grown food as organic is the epitome of insanity.

How can we have truly organic foods when we use water instead of soil and that water could be contaminated with pesticide residues like glyphosate. We need to get back to true regenerative farming and not some gimmick.

hydroponic produced food is NOT organically grown and should not be labeled "organic". There are no nutrients in food grown only in water and all hydroponic food should be thusly labeled so the consumer knows how the food was grown. Giving hydroponics an organic label is deceitful and will take away any confidence consumers had in the organic label. This is just WRONG!

Hydroponic food should be labeled as hydroponic food, not organic. And especially devious to deceive consumers by not telling them it has been sprayed with poison!!!

"Organic" food that is NOT grown in the soil of the earth (containers, hydroponics, etc.) needs its own label or category... it does not belong under the same USDA organic label. Labeling food as organic that is grown hydroponically or in containers only weakens the integrity of the USDA organic label and further undermines any trust the people can have with the USDA.

Label it or ban it! There really is no inbetween. We demand honesty, transparency, and chemical-free food and water!

No hydroponics! I want my food grown in nutrient rich soil and I DO NOT want my food to be sprayed with glyphosate or any other herbicides and insecticides. I do not want my food to be grown using GMO seeds and I want my food to be labeled No GMO. Organic food should be grown without using GMO seeds and should be grown in soil that is healthy and nutrient rich only!

Food and soil are interconnected. They provide life to the planet and us. I want no more "phony organic foods" grown in water.

My mantra is:complex soil systems not fertilizer out of a bag. And that is organic.

There is no room for "interpretation" here. Simply, hydroponics does not improve the soil so therefore, it should not be labeled organic.

This is outrageous!!! How dare you allow a known cancer causing pesticide to be used in any organic growing . This is just a give away to monsanto-bayer. It is disgusting how corrupt this government has become!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
