At the very least, all hydroponically grown foods should be compulsorily labeled as such.

I want to know that when I buy something labelled "organic", that it's been grown in healthy soil, and not come into contact with any chemicals.

Hydroponics should be labeled, "hydroponic" so that consumers can make an educated choice. I also question the safety of the containers, tubing, etc, used for hydroponics. Also, hydroponic farmers can list if they use organic pesticides, no pesticides, etc. Then let the consumer choose.
