USDA is ironically fulfilling what President Franklin Roosevelt once stated, “A nation that destroys its soil, destroys itself." - Read Destroys as "Replaces".

Hydroponics is NOT organic farming. Please make “USDA Organic” truly represent organic farming.

Plants must grow in real soil to be considered Organic. Hydroponically grown commodities can not be considered to be organically grown.

If it's not grown in living, organically managed soil, it can never be considered organic.

organic is all about the soil. You can't have organics with out organic soils.

Hydroponically grown fruits and vegetables are not organic according to the law. Stop listening to the lobbyists for industrial "farmers" and uphold the law as it was written.

Organic is important to me and the earth. Hydroponic produce is not soil based and is not the same. I want my labeling to show that so I can make a choice.

I have recently sold my farm after 46 years of farming organic. I cannot compete with the cheating ?organic? hydroponic greenhouses. It is a crime that USDA NOP allows the faux organic greenhouses to be certified organic while Real Organic farms play by the rules. You should be ashamed.

Real Organic production happens in soil.
