Protect Northwood Lake from Urban Sprawl

Please do not allow town homes to be built next to Nortwood Lake.

This new development is an irresponsible venture. That area is clearly a flood zone. Additionally, it will effect the wildlife currently residing in that section of the neighborhood.

We do not need any more water coming into Brookside .

Since this concerns a wetland, has an EPA environmental impact statement been submitted?

No! This will have a huge environmental impact on the wetlands in the area. Traffic up 69 is a disaster already!

I don't live in NWL anymore but am opposed to the idea. The traffic would fly by our house any time. This project will bring even more traffic. Look at all the flooding we had this year and especially in Tuscaloosa, how many neighborhoods have they destroyed to build "communities" for students. NO more construction in overpopulated areas!!I live in Northport still but own a home in Tuscaloosa but don't like the direction the city of Tuscaloosa is going so I live in my house in Northport. I stand with the opposing citizens-NO to this project.

Has there been an environmental impact study done? This is a BAD idea which will increase traffic in the neighborhood and be detrimental to the environment.

I am afraid of how this will impact our traffic flow throughout the lake which is a 25 mile speed limit and the destruction of woodland areas that wildlife inhabit. Also it seems that much of the area is wetlands which is under EPA guidelines. I vote NO.

Flooding concerns ALONE should have kept this mess from being considered.

I am concerned about them using our infrastructure, the effects on our dam, and the increased traffic near the playground.

69 traffic is already a nightmare! We do not need any more subdivisions or entrances onto it. Additionally, this would not be safe for the Tiger Rock students and parents who have to park and walk there.

I do not like the idea of having an entrance on Resource Dr. First, there’s already way too much traffic coming and going on 69. This will be another place where wrecks will happen, especially with that hill just north of Resource. Secondly, it will make it so much harder and more dangerous for all the families that go to Tiger Rock. It’s a dangerous situation that the developer is not taking into consideration!

Adding the connection to Resource Dr. will increase traffic in an area heavily used by kids who attend Tiger Rock in the afternoons and evenings and use the Baptist Association lot for parking. That “street” is clogged at those times which will cause strife with future residents of the new development. Please move this plan to a different area that has the space, perhaps on 43 or Rose Blvd.

Please no! We have loved here for 15 and my husband has owned a house here since 2000!

ABSOLUTELY NOT until there has been a resolution to flooding and a study for a traffic light conducted!!!!! Care for your current citizens and not the pockets of others!!!! KEEP NORTHPORT a place where people are grateful to live!!!!!! Little Tuscaloosa (what Northport is trying to become) IS NOT good for our area!!!!!!

I believe that the infrastructure and environmental impact of this development will be a negative one for the NWL neighborhood. Please do not allow it to proceed.
