I strongly agree that this area should remain residential and not allow for a mixed industrial usage especially due to the negative precedent it sets for future developments in the area.

We live at 2332 N Reid Hooker just across from 2339 N Reid Hooker Rd. The owners are bull dozing all the trees off the front of their property. This is altering the landscape highly and destroys the natural habitat that has been put under conservation by the State of Tennessee. As the sign by the entrance of HWY 64 states: This is the GRAYs Creek Con servation area. These new owners knew before they bought this property what ty were going to do with it. They bought it under false pretences as a private residence. Then o ce bought under that pretence, within a month they askedf for a business variance thereby attempting to defraud the Shelby County Goverment (County taxpayers) of business tax on top of private property tax. If they needed a place for their business, they should have bought land on HWY 64.
Folks, these people are trucking us and defacing our residential landscape.

This proposal will cause further traffic on our narrow roads, endangering residents, many who are elderly, who drive these roads. This is not a good idea at all.

Narrow 2 lane road. No infrastructure to support commercial activity. Doesn’t fit residential footprint.

There are plenty of land parcels elsewhere that would not cause such disruption let alone destructive action in this residential area.

There are plenty other plots of land along Hwy 64 that could be used. This area should remain a residential/farming community

Keep the policy that protects the residential nature of the area! That's why we moved here. Keep this place sacred for the wildlife and tranquility.

I oppose the rezoning . It will be detrimental to the surrounding residential areas. It should stay residential, minimum acreage as it is now.
