Doctor's need to be able to make medically relevant discussions with patients and their families when this could be detrimental to the patient's health. To loose their registration for stating their opinion as to what is best for their patients which would threaten their ethical principles is totally wrong and needs to be discussed more fully. These decisions are inconsistant with good medical practice.

As a physio working in Sydney hospitals I have always found doctors using all their skills to bring about a good outcome. Do not change this.

Yes I agree. Doctors undertake years of training based on solid clinical trials to achieve their degrees and develop highly tuned decision-making skills. Their patients still have the power of choice, whether or not to follow the doctor's advice.
