Protect “Good Medical Practice” in Australia: safeguard the Medical Board Code of Conduct.

Our medical guidelines have been formulated to provide the best treatment to peoples all race, religion and creed. Culture sjhould not modify this. People are free to choose or refuse recommended treatment not modify treatment to suit their culture, or coerce others to follow their culture.

Please allow doctors to do their job to save lives.

We agree strongly with the accompanying message. Doctors need the freedom to do what they feel is the best to do for the patient, and not be forced to do what the family says.

I am totally opposed to so called "culturally safe practices and changes to the present code of conduct. Please allow medical practitioners to conduct their profession in the best interest of their patients as they see it.

This is a totally unacceptable burden to place on medical professionals. The best medical practice according to the Doctor and already determined guidelines should be the standard not "cultural expectations" which could be contravening best medical outcomes for the patient.

Please guard the good that we have.

Please legally allow doctors & nurses to do what their conscience dictates without fear of retribution.

I support the current good medical practice code.

Please, safe guard us and the doctor who give advice.

Once again the personal rights of the individual are being eroded away by the proposed changes. I object most strongly to the proposed changes.

Isn't at least part of a doctor's role to give his/her patient sound advice concerning the health of the patient? It seems to me that the most basic need for a doctor is to have the freedom to be open and honest to his patient regardless of their culture or beliefs.

The proposed changes are totally unacceptable. Doctors have taken the Hippocratic oath to provide the best medical care to their patients. It is totally inappropriate for uninformed family members to overrule them.

These changes seem quite unnecessary and also have the potential to cause great harm.

This is yet another example of political correctness gone mad. Trying to please one group of irrational thinkers by imposing their rights on the the rest of the population does nothing but obfuscate, bewilder, confuse and ultimately endanger the entire society. But then that's what the cultural Marxists are trying to do to our once wonderful country. If people are unwilling to fight against this type of dictatorship they will clearly end in its grip.

The doctor is a human being with the right to be true to his/her beliefs and standards, not a machine for the patient to employ to their own ends.
