Let's keep the traditional medical ethics and not move down this proposed slippery slope.

Medical Practise in Australia should be protected and not change in the basis of cultural. They are two different things and should be seperated. Thansk

These people are social engineers not honorable medical practitioners fulfilling the calling to the caring profession. Our country gets sicker and more Stalinist by the minute.

How strange to see a world so disassociated from reality that it would deem it appropriate to try and create a new reality contrary to the genetic reality, a signature, so deemed at conception. The west has lost its grip on reality and become dysphoric. Such dysphoria manifests itself in history as the ending, the death, of a culture.

I would not like to see doctors lose their right to act in their professional judgement.

What does the Hippocratic oath say? Do any of you abide by it? Or are you hit men?

These changes would endanger the lives of those too young or ignorant to be able to judge. Culture must not override good medical practice. We have a culture here in Australia and that has served us well in the past. Change for change sake has never been good practice. Please do not let these changes be made. Keep us all safe please.

For the amount medical practitioners have to invest in their careers including their medical and ethical training, they should have the right to use their skills in ways that by their opinion Does No Harm. It is about time that the long term consequences of these procedures are considered and the same amount of effort is invested into psychological realignment. Why is there so much belief that physical changes will create contentment and psychological changes bring harm. Let’s start loving each other and addressing the real issues of breakdowns in relationships and a lack of connection on order to restore people’s lives.

Doctors must not be forced to act in ways that their conscience does NOT support.

It's vital that our doctor's be left to exercise their medical knowledge & decisions based on their studies & professionalism, not on a cultural or religious based motive.

Would this allow for female circumcision of young girls because it is acceptable within their culture, dispite the harm it does physically?

Female genital mutilation is culturally important to some people. Will doctors be free to oppose it?

Good medical practise always, cultural deviations like Female Genital Mutation etc should never allowed

Regardless of cultural ideas, doctors should be able to tell patients and their families of all the consequences of having operations or treatments, so that an informed decision can be made as to follow through on the procedures or not to follow through.

I plead with the Medical Board to re-consider proposed significant changes to the Medical Board's Code of Conduct, which I believe would be dangerous to good medical practice and ethics, removing the right of doctors to say what is medically relevant in discussion with patients and families.

I feel that the above letter is self explanatory.

Allow doctors to do their job to save lives. The current medical code of Conduct does not need changing, Leave it alone do not change it. Thank you
