Protect “Good Medical Practice” in Australia: safeguard the Medical Board Code of Conduct.

Please protect those who have our best at heart...leave the Code of Conduct alone.

Lets keep our medical profession professional not "cultural"

It should not be compulsary of practicing should have freedom not to perform.

I am very concerned about the proposed medical practices as they are inconsistent with good medical practice and threaten their freedom of conscience

MEdical professionals must be free to offer advice as they consider appropriate. SUch advice can be taken or ignored as the patient considers best.

Please don't stifle freedom of speach.

Doctors should be able to give expert medical advice in the best interests of the patient, even if it's different to the prevailing views of the culture. Culture is not always right. Nor safe. No-one is forcing people to use certain doctors - and they are free to get a second opinion if they don't like the advice given. But don't hamstring our doctors from providing the best possible medical advice they can, even if it contradicts the demands of patients or the whims of culture!

Fight for good and common sense to prevail and preserve the boundaries that have helped keep our nation safe and sensible for years

I appreciate seeing an honest doctor who will not bow to the ever changing political opinions but will strive for excellent medical care to the best of their conscience for the sake of the patient. To remove that freedom will make many people distrust the medical profession.

I strongly object to the rewording of the doctors code of practice on the grounds of discrimination against the freedom of speach

Please don't subject us to any more political correctness. Please don't further erode our proven values. Correct

Please do not change the existing code of conduct of the Medical Board. Clinical decision making should be left to the doctors according to their conscience and the oath they made to preserve life no matter what. This should not be changed.

The proposed changes should not be accepted as they are inconsistent with good medical practice.

Professional bodies should not act as thought police on socially or politically contested issues

Not only is this garbage inconsistent with good medical practice, it is downright evil. It takes away our freedom to choose, a freedom fought for by both of my Grandfathers in WW1 in the trenches of France and Belgium, and also with my own 2 years National Service in 1969-70. Stop this rot of removing all the absolutes in Australia. This IS a Christian Nation, but various people are desecrating our foundations, and indeed are anti-Christ. I urge you to think very carefully about whose side you are on - remember there is someone higher than you, and you will have to answer one day (soon) for all your actions and decisions. Are we starting to change standard and long operated practise to suit this "NEW knowledge " we seem to have ? Keep to our tried and trusted formula for all our society health please !

Doctors should have the freedom to make professional recommendations on cultural matters without being told what they can or can't say.
