Protect “Good Medical Practice” in Australia: safeguard the Medical Board Code of Conduct.

I don't believe that it democratic to force doctors to perform treatments or operations such as abortions if it is against their conscience. E.G. Just because abortions are now legal doesn't make it morally right. A few years ago a doctor would have been struck off for performing a voluntary abortion, and now just because the law has changed the opposite now applies. Governments just changes laws to suit themselves or to win votes, but Gods laws stand for ever and those who break them will receive the just consequences.

Please don’t destroy our faith in our medical practitioners

Our family has 3 members in the healthcare profession. We oppose any attempt to silent the Medical profession from exercising their personal convictions and good and wholesome medical practices and ethics. Let us concentrate good medical practice, not pandering to some politically correct philosophy.

Doctors should be able to follow their conscience when deciding whether to treat a patient.

This would appear to also force approval of female genital mutilation, circumcision and other practices that are seen as culturally appropriate by some. Basically this is saying that the psychological and Physiological training required of doctors is irrelevant and stifles doctors from giving educated advice.

Having been a medical practitioner for 41 years, it is hard to believe that changes like these can even be considered.

I strongly am opposed to the to dictorial nature of the medical board gagging our Doctors to believe an ideology that is corrupt and very divisive to our community.

Doctors should not be forced to agree to this proposed code of conduct which goes against good medical practice.

What a corrupt, evil world we live in! Where does God's creation and His Law fit into this? Sodom and Gomorrah revisited,

A patient's health always comes first. Nothing should come between the physician's goal of healing them. A doctor has enough on his/her plate in solving the problem that presents outside of tip-toeing around what they can or can't say. This proposal is ridiculous and harmful to our community. It undermines our doctors expertise and profession.

The present wording protects all.

How can I trust a doctor's word if they can't use their professional judgment?

Doctors need to be allowed to share medical best practice with their patients and should have the right to refuse to do what they believe to be dangerous to health or inappropriate for the patient or against the doctor's conscience.
