Doctors are human beings who have the right to have freedom of conscience and to abide by their oath to do no harm. If politicians can have a conscience vote, Doctors most certainly should be able to also without interference and bullying by the Medical Board.

Doctors are highly qualified and well-educated people who have taken an oath to do the best for their patients. No board should have any say over what a doctor should believe or say or do. Freedom of speech should be for all - not just an elite minority.

Make no change. A good doctor is becoming as scarce as hen's teeth. The doctors respect the wishes of their patients now. Why should "others" get a say in this matter.

Freedom of conscience is critical for any civilised society. This attempt to silence any dissension is reprehensible and Orwellian in its scope

Doctors must be free to advise patients using their knowledge and in the best interests of the mental and physical health of the patient.

I wish to deal with my family doctor and not with some board with which I have no personal contact. I have dealt with doctors who have given completely wrong diagnosis because they stick to a very narrow and ‘safe’ script. There is no redress against these doctors except my education and decision to go elsewhere. These knew laws seem to restrict how doctors can relate to their individual patients.

Regardless of personal opinions (which should be protected under freedom of speech), doctors, like the rest of humanity, should be free to express their own opinions including moral opinions.
All Australians regardless of gender, career, profession or beliefs should the same freedom of speech.

Why would someone sign up to practice medicine if they can't practice medicine? Next, we won't have doctors!

This is an erosion of a doctor's freedom of conscience by imposing another's beliefs.

Doctors need to be free to act in accordance with their conscience. These proposed changes are completely inconsistent with the freedom of doctors to act in a way they believe is appropriate. We are a free country and personal conscience should never be violated by a board or authority.
