Protect “Good Medical Practice” in Australia: safeguard the Medical Board Code of Conduct.

Freedom of speech & action shows that doctors or anyone are thinking. Surely this is what every patient would want.

Doctor should be held accountable for malpractice and unethical treatment and not upholding the medical oath . When did "first Do No Harm" become redundant and irrelevant and when did profit come before health? Western medicine is a sinking ship and it's time for change and the time is now. Drs should practice honest medicine not influenced by pharmaceutical funding or politics.

Fed up with people criticising doctors who stand up for their view.

I want to trust that my doctors are giving truthful advice and are not being censored for taking a different stance on some health issues. The proposed changes go too far and are not representative of the whole community.

All health professionals need to be able to be led by their convictions. Stop trying to mussel freedom if speech

Protect all Doctor's freedoms

Who are these head in the sand totalitarian people? How dare they shut down conversation.

Doctors are first and foremost members of society, and a human right is the freedom of speech and conscience.

It is imperative that Doctors remain free to make ethical decisions that are not bound by political, or social views. Doctors should not be forced to determine the medical care of a patient according to "cultural concepts."

Allow doctors to retain a conscience

Doctors should be allowed to publicly state their beliefs, whether it is sympathetic to those who are in a state of gender confusion, or opposed to treatments which force the person further down that path. And without fear that the AHPRA will penalize them. This has little to do with patient welfare and everything to do with ideological social engineering.

Refusing to allow professional doctors to express their personal views regarding matters of health, reduces them to the status of a parking meter. Doctors are people. Obvious really but surely in this 'modern' age we don't all have to be clones of an assumed perfect person. Limiting Doctors' professional opinions about the best welfare of their patients is a retrograde step. Over centuries medical professionals have fought for and gained respectful standing in the community. Limiting their choices for wellbeing advice and action is very unwise.

Good medical practice will be endangered by these draconian amendments!

This is another nail in the coffin of the sensible, just and moral society we once called our own!

For decades society has been able to celebrate the age of information. People have been able to share what they've learned and the result has been informed decision making. Is it not true that the medical profession evolved through healthy comparisons of observations made by individuals? It would be regressive and detrimental to become a society where various perspectives aren't offered or allowed in all levels of decision making. Please speak up for the freedom of everyone.

This is totally unacceptable and ridiculous. So much corruption at work...

I support the existing "code of conduct" and I am against any proposed change.

Doctors should always be free to express their own opinions, freedom of speech should be preserved.

This has little to do with patient welfare and everything to do with ideological social engineering.
