We have the right to believe whatever we choose, not to discriminate against us because we believe in such. Add this doesn't harm others, it doesn't breach our duty of care.

The public need to have the right to ask both sides of the best medical information they need to then make a choice. And Doctors should be free to speak openly about side effects and long term harms of altering drugs or surgeries that might not be in good interest of the patient.

How can we claim to be a democracy if the members of our medical fields do not have the freedom of choice when it comes to matters of conscience.

Doctors must be allowed to administer medicine and cause no harm, they must be allowed to honour their oath

This is clearly a dangerous move that has enormous potential to be manipulated and used against any dissenting individuals. It represents a naked attack on freedom of thought and expression. Straight out of Mao’s playbook,who would have ever thought it. Shame on the medical board for proposing it!

Medical professionals should be able to exercise freedom of conscience.

Stop trying to control medical practitioners from meeting the needs of clients with good conscience.

It would seem that a doctor has to wait for the patient or their carer's permission to continue expert care, operations etc. How many lives will be lost from this highly unethical philosophy. Absolutely insane!

Freedom of speech is at risk in every sector in western society.

This is another attack by elements of the PC Thought Police against the freedom of conscience of doctors who hold personal, ethical beliefs founded on sound medical practice. It is essentially an insidious move to pervert their basic right to exercise integrity in their compassionate concern for the real welfare of their patients flowing from objective human reality.

So no doctors will be able to give me a second opinion because no doctors will be allowed to hold a different opinion to the one dictated by AHPRA? That's an absurd idea for medicine in general, but especially when it comes to AHPRA holding opinions based on ideology instead of science.

Doctors should be able to act as their conscience allows. They should have to hold to "first do no harm" regardless of what the family thinks.
