Agree wholeheartedly that cats should have the same protection as dogs and accidents should be reported

The amount of these road deaths is ridiculously high and each year the problem increases.Absolutely disgusting that felines aren’t covered by the Road traffic Act.

Just as important to owners as dogs or other animals we share our lives with as part of our families

Cats are family. They are just as important as dogs and should be treated as such.

why wouldn't you care as much for cats as for dogs, or any living creature. i know you sometimes can't help running over an animal, but please let someone know

One of my cats left the house as usual on the 21st December 2019 and never returned. To this day I do not know what happened to him, much distress was caused to our family. The UK are discussing the protection of Felines under their road traffic act at the moment. Let us see if the Isle Of Man can do it before them. It is only right that cats should have protection.

My sons cat was ran over by a neighbour, who denied it . Even though there were witnesses.

Yes I think cats should be reported to either a vet or mspca so that the owner can have closure

As the owner of 4 cats, I find this incident very distressing. I truly hope that some form of punishment can be issued to the culprits.

My husband works away from home (obviously not at the moment!) and my cats are my companions. Wherever I am in the house they are too. Cats deserve the protection of the law.
