Protect felines under the road traffic act, the same as canines etc. Isle of Man

I have two furry boys who are a massive part of my family and i know their routine down to the dot.. always worried me that this might happen and id never know were they are ... they are both chipped and neutered wormed flead , all injections so im a responsible pet owner and expected to be but the shoe has to be on the other foot... This law has to change a dog or other animal has this right i cant see the difference

As a person that has had a cat killed on a road, it was devastating. It effected the whole family. The cat was left by the side of the road and we will never know what pain it endured before it finally passed away. If a dog has to be reported I think a cat should have the same protocol. I think this will be a deterrent for theses selfish heartless motorists and maybe save some cats lives.

Cats should have the same rights as dogs, if you hit one, report it....not only is it a living creature it’s part of someone’s family and life!!!!! Have respect!

Cats should have the same law as dogs, feral cats or not, it’s still horrible to knock them down dead in the road (could possibly be someone’s loved pet) or even leave them to in horrible pain

Love my cats and don’t ever want to think about anything happening to them but if something like that did happen i would want to know straight away and not have to sit wondering ‘what if they could of been saved if they were taken straight to the vets ?’

As a cat owner, I believe there should be an appropriate law in place if people hit cats with a vehicle. They are beloved family pets.

I agree cats injured by road users the road user should have to report the accident. The cat is someones pet and part of the family.

It should be a criminal offence when you knock down a cat. Cats are not pets, their are part of the family.
