Protect felines under the road traffic act, the same as canines etc. Isle of Man

Cats should have the same protection as dogs, they are someone’s much loved pet and part of the family. The fact that a cat can get hit by a car and left there is disgusting and sick

I understand genuine accidents happen but law should change because too often these poor animals are left on the roadside to suffer and nobody cares ,heartbreaking for owners as said before most are elderly or young children

100% agree! Understandable that occasionally accidents do happen but driver should have to report it, closure for families

I hear lots of sad stories about families losing their cats found dead on the road, it's not righ. The law needs to change. The IOM is famous for the Manx cat so it makes sense to change the law to protect these animals

Cannot fathom the logic behind there being a difference between a cat and a dog. Do the right thing and modify the Act!
