The law should be changed peoples pets are being hit by drivers and left to suffer at the roadside or killed and not reported let's get out of the dark ages folks

I feel too that if anyone knocks over a cat that they must stop and get help for the cat which could hopefully save their life if injured on the road if taken to a vet immediately. All cats deserve this as their lives are precious too. Thank you

This should be law.my cat recently got injured last July and cost me over £2,006 in vets fees

There also needs to be more publicity regarding the clause with dogs - I'm a driver and a dog owner but didn't know it was the law to report an accident.

I have picked up a cat in the past that had been left in the road to die after being hit by a car. Thanks to a microchip his owner was found and she was thankful that I found and collected him. It should be reported. They are no different to dogs.

This sadly happened to my cat and she was left in the road to die in pain and alone. Drivers should be made to stop and take them to the nearest vet then report it to police. Also, I think all cats should microchipped.
