I fully support this petition. Cats should be protected under the law in the same way Dogs are.

My lightning was hit by a vehicle in December and we were heartbroken .
Think cats should get same as dogs.

On top of making sure animals are microchipped, this will also deal with a select few who may attempt to run a cat over. 9 out of 10 times it is an accident that but if people are made to report it, then worried owners can be let known.

Cats are as much part of the family as dogs are. How can anyone be so cruel and leave a poor cat dying or injured with the family going out of their mind. This lawn needs changing now!!

Our kitten was run over before Christmas and he was on death door but he was a fighter after suffering with bleed on brain and internal bleeding broken pelvis it wasn't looking good

Having also lost a cat to a car accident who was left to die at the side of a road I fully agree with this petition! Cats are just as loved as dogs and should have the same rights

Protect cats, make it law to stop & report if a cat is knocked down or killed on the road x
