My daughter has chosen Chinese as her major subject for her 3 year degree. Her career planning is built around it.

Chinese is important especially within our current economic environment and makes no sense to lose it as subject of the university of Stellenbosch

Chinese should be kept at the very least until all students currently enrolled have graduated.

Chinese is very important to me as I would like to go and work in China for a couple of years. As a language student, I believe all languages are equally important so why does Chinese have to be taken away?

I am highly upset because my daughter is taking Chinese!! Why did the university offered the language in the 1st place

Chinese opens doors and is vital for this country's progress. Stellenbosch should prioritize the language of the future!

This concept is unacceptable ! If there are serious budget cuts that need implementing. The University of Stellenbosch should think long and hard about which departments represent the most importance in the geo-strategic context… Especially with regards to South Africa. Thank You.
