All children deserve to grow to their best and full potential. Why do away with a facility that has proven that it can do just that in it's current location?

Silver Creek serves a vital role in the community providing early intervention services to children and support and education to their families to enable them to continue to assist and advocate for their children. The space this facility provides is necessary to accommodate all the services offered and will be extremely difficult to replicate within this community.

Unbelievable that this is even being considered. Money isn't the be all and end all and this needs to be realised.

As a parent of a disabled child I can say that there are very few facilities/programs like this in our city. This school is one of only 2 on the west side. We were fortunate to place our daughter on the wait list just after her birth to ensure she could attend by 2 1/2. This school assisted us in being proactive with her therapy. If this school shuts down, it would be a huge setback for families of children with disability.

Silvercreek is a fundamental part of our community. I live down the street from this school and my son attended as a community student and was fully integrated into this beautiful, inspiring, supportive and encouraging learning environment. A life lesson was learned by him attending Silvercreek and it will remain with him forever. Each human being should be honoured, respected, appreciated, encouraged, challenged to meet their full potential, supported with every means possible and valued for who they are. My son learned that every child is unique, capable and wonderful. Please allow this dedicated group of the most talented and loving educators, teachers, directors, specialists, support workers, care providers and children to remain at "our" little school, a true gem in our community.

Save this school! It's so amazing what they do for those special needs children. It would be such a shame for it to be sold.

What an amazing job they do! They are saving lots of Government money in the long run because they are providing these children a chance for a better future with a better social supports and better health outcomes!

I am a child and family therapist with collegues who worked at ECC, clients I've referred there, and friends whose child with special needs will be attending preschool this fall. This is an essential space to save as it serves the TDSB directly in helping children learn, grow and reach their potential with special support that would otherwise be a scarce resource within their educational institution one day. Think twice before moving forward with depriving children and families with these essential services. Thank you.

I've been to this school and it is fantastic. There are so few resources for those with special needs, let's at the very least work to keep the ones we have!
