I am a volunteer at Silver creek Preschool for a few months already and I can confidently say that none of my teachers in elementary school, high school nor university cared and knew their students like the teachers at this school. They work hard to create the best learning conditions for all of their students, picking up on the preferences of each youngster and applying this knowledge in as many situations as they can. One of the teachers I work with presented a story with such creativity and not only did the students love it but the other teachers all raved about it. it's truly a community they have built there, each sharing their genuine kindness and it would be heartbreaking to see it change. My high school, Holy name of Mary moved from mississauga to Brampton when I was in grade 10 and it no longer holds the high reputation it once did. Many factors contribute to this and they are not all able to be foreshadowed which is precisely my concern for Silver Creek preschool. Take a day to witness what goes on in the classrooms and you'll understand. Don't overlook the goodness that has been created there :)

Unless plans have been made to replace this facility and service to those who access this facility, it should not be sold or shut down.

Closing Silver Creek School and the Etobicoke Community Children's Centre is nearsighted!

We all have a connection to someone directly or indirectly who may be living with mental health challenges or autism and benefits from services provided by organizations like the ECC and Silvercreek. Collectively we cannot afford to lose these services as they are vital to the future of our children and the community as a whole.

I am not not in support of selling a property that is serving the needs of 1200 clients annually and displacing a valuable service in the communtiy.
