Help Protect Children from Unjust Involuntary Psychiatric Examination!

Our 12 year old son was taken from us after experiencing a substance induced toxic psychosis and refused to speak. Many of the 24,000+ parents are now reporting psychiatric issues with their children when prescribed the drug Miralax NOT approved by the FDA for use in children, but the FDA did issue a warning to adults approved for its use:MiraLAX may cause POSSIBLE NEUROPSYCHIATRIC EVENTS! A sad commentary on our educational system that does not know how to teach children, and when they act up, as kids will, they are kidnapped with the force of law and drugged into oblivion. Can our educators please return to teaching and nurturing, instead of social control. Children are people, not numbers.

Stop The Abuses committed by law enforcement officials, doctors, teachers, and relatives because of this obsolete law. No more handcuffs, no more psychiateic hospitalizations for innocent children who do not have a mental diagnosis and are not a threat to themselves or to others. The same goes for adults who are commited because of abusive people who manipulate the law to get away with murder.

I have a lot to say about this subject but not enough time to vent. We experienced this and it traumatized and embarrassed our daughter as they paraded her out of the school with a shefiffs deputy while her peers watched and wondered. We were called after the fact.

I think it's the right of every parents to take care of any issue related to their child and no other institution is to decide on behalf of the parents.

I’m involved in this movement because I have a 31 year old son with Autism and mental disability.

A minor should not be removed from school before legal guardian is notified and guardian Should be a part of the decision making unless it life or death situation. School personnel should contact legal guardian in a timely manner. I know a situation where a minor possibility had an very dangerous drug on Friday. Councillor waited to Monday to inform anyone.

I'm signing this because I am a victim of this as well ever since I was a child and now at 23 I'm tired of seeing kids and young adults life's ruined all over a stupid YouTube video or being called bipolar because they have some good days and some bad days . This type of baker act is enough to create fear anxiety and panic attacks knowing that at any time you can be taken and forced to go to one of these places for committing no crime . I should be able to say what ever tf I want as long as I don't do it .

My child was almost baker acted 2× had I not arrived sooner. These unnecessary examinations need to stop. Schools need to better train their staff and follow IEPs and BIPs for children with special needs.

I cannot express how devastating it feels not know what is going on with my child. Not to be notified of the happenings or whereabouts of my child. I do not wish what we are currently going through on any parent.

My grandson was put on this for flu symptoms. He has a horrible time, my daughter (his mother) had a worse time-he didn't know or care what he said or did . Thank God, he was taken to the Emergency Room and they figured it out- Will never go on the Flu Crap again
