Help Protect Children from Unjust Involuntary Psychiatric Examination!

My 16 y o daughter was Involuntary Baker Act by her High School. She has. Documted history of Anxiety, Broad Spectrum Autism, Pragmatic language & was release by 96 hours via Habeous Corpus placed by center on our request.

At SalusCare now and they're trying to Baker Act my 13 year old son. We came in under our own. Not court ordered. Not Baker Acted by police department. But here under their own policy they want to Baker Act my son.

The public schools have overstepped and abused he Baker Act. It is a serious situation when a minor is Baker Acted and confined without exhibiting mental illness. Parents need to consulted first!

The Baker Act needs to be changed as humane & proper treatment is a human right

Parents should ALWAYS be consulted PRIOR to ANY such action taken on their child, and should have the right to say "No". This involuntary incarceration must stop.

A child should never ever receive psychiatric drugs or ect at all but no child should also be treated or seen by a psychiatrist, psychologist or social worker or school counselor without the parent being there and with the parents permission.

This act needs to be changed

This is a gross violation of children’s and parents rights.

I myself was cuffed and told that I was drunk. I dont drink this nonsense was established by the hospital staff yet they held me for 5 days at Aventura Hospital. My phone cover was stolen, I watched and heard a Male nurse on the night shift tell women if they sleep with him they will be let go. None were and all complained. They would give patients illicit drugs found by a dog sniffing in the unit. I saw them give cocaine and heroin to patients so they would shut up. I also heard the day staff of nurses ask if they found weed and they would split it. Test the female nurse and the Male administrator and I assure that they will come up positive for THC. I don't do drugs not prescribed by my doctor. Which is why my urine was clean. This was an abuse of power by the police. The $17000 bill should be paid by them and I should be reimbursed for my time being held against my will. I had an argument, the man struck me. I called police because I was assaulted only to have the police say I was drunk and cuff me and shove me into a car. This is ABUSE of Power and they should be held accountable for their actions. I dont care about who said what they had no right to place me into a mental hospital that then charged me 17,000 Dollars. I won't pay cause I'm unemployed and have no insurance but the police should answer for their mistreatment and abuse of this act.

My child has been Baker acted it has been beyond the 72 hours that they claim they are allowed to keep her but have not yet released her and keep giving excuses that the doctor has not seen her.

They are children. When they are 18 they are adults. How does a 14 year old have the right to make decisions when they have not lived life yet?

Not only do the children need protecting but so do the adults.
