Help Protect Children from Unjust Involuntary Psychiatric Examination!

How is possible that my kid was Baker acted when after a series of bullying episodes at the school and those reported to the teachers, and after care counselors, nothing was done. But, one day he had it, and he reacted (wrongly) sending a bad text that took a wrong turn and now he is the one being punished. That is an experience no 11 year old should go through. My son is a happy kid. A good student.

This needs change. It's horrible that this it happening so frequently. This loophole needs changed.

My child is being held right now, haven't seen her. They refuse to let me see her. They did not even mention if I could have phone access but cchrflorida.org says I should be able to call and see her.

The most dehumanizing, traumatizing experience I personally have ever gone through. It's not just the children, I'm 50 and it destroyed my family and my life. I cant imagine the impact on children as well. The Baker Act is a complete violation of our civil liberties. It's disgusting and a disgrace.

My 8 year old was accused of something involving 2 other children that have been bullying him before and after school. My son was taken from school today and I was not informed until after the fact.

My son has been held for five days. They are abusing these kids mentally not helping them. They have not contacted me regarding any type of information.

It is impossible for parents to be blocked and has no say/right to speak or act inregards to their child wellbeing.

Please undo this act so children are not summarily dismissed and labeled as “crazy” for the rest of their lives. As if having a disabilitating condition is not enough.

This is not good for any body, people need to be educated in this subject.

Baker acting a child is a traumatic experience that should be carefully considered if there are other options.
