Whilst I fully support the air ambulance, I strongly oppose the move to green belt, residential location such as the proposed site in Almondsbury. The consultation process has been poor, I am only aware of overly bias communication in favour if the move from Alder King.
My immediate reaction was health and safety. It is crazy to have a helicopter base so near this junction which I believe is the busiest in the country. Motorist's concentration is easily diverted.

The idea of moving an existing helecopter base to make way for new housing only yo site it next to existing and well established homes is ridiculous and unacceptable and should not be allowed in my opinion. Apart from the obvious noise implications one of my initial thoughts was the likely distraction to motorists on one of the busiest motorway intersections in the country. madness.

The proposed site is wholly unsuitable being so close to homes and within the greenbelt. The noise pollution for such a helicopter base would be unacceptable.

All points seem to be covered, except for the following 3 points: 1) Noise Pollution, 2) Air pollution - smell from exhaust and fuel, especially when refuelling. How about the birds and wildlife - they will not be protected. I agree with all other points raised.

This would have a disastrous effect on a quiet rural village in a conservation area and green belt where streetlighting and double yellow lines are restricted but some bright spark thinks it OK to fly noisy helicopters in and out. Half a mile down the road is an airfield where nearby residents are used to aircraft noise. Rather than allowing the whole of Filton airfield to be developed for residential housing, why not reserve some of it for helicopters?

I know that these helicopter base's need to be located somewhere but not on Green belt areas and not near residential areas that will cause constant noise polution to all occupants.

Keeping the helicopter base at Filton makes much more sense., un less the whole idea is to maximise profit from the sale of the airfiled, which I consider wrong in any case!
